Anyone bought parts from Germany (ebay.de)?

Hey All,

I was checking out ebay.de for some cool stuff but was wondering if anyone has purchased anything from someone overseas.

One of the sellers was telling me that I can only pay via bank wire transfer and that he won't let me pay via paypal.

I'm a little skeptical about doing a wire transfer and would prefer to use paypal since I can use a credit card to protect myself.

Anyone done this? I had a hard time translating the seller's wiring insructions (translater.com or something i found online).

Anyone with experience? I'd appreciate the help.

I bought my steering wheel from ebay.de and had to pay with a bank wire. Just make sure the seller has good feedback.

I buy stuff all the time from Ebay.de. What did you buy and who was the seller? I have done a lot of business with a few of the regulars on there for Audi parts, so I might know them. Aside from that, I use Babelfish to translate. It's a Yahoo service and works nicely. For your bank to wire money to the seller, you will need to ask him for his name, bank name and town where his bank is located, his BIC, his IBAN, and his account number. I was skeptical at first as well, but I have the printouts from about 40 wire transfers, and I haven't had any problems so far, aside from a few associated with language issues and misunderstandings. I just hope I don't become part of the 1.8% that had negative feedback!

I tried but the seller only accepted bank wire transfer...no paypal to Germany unfortunately. I was not comfortable w/ that type of payment so the deal fell through. Hopefully you can find a work around. Good luck and keep AZ informed on your progress.

I bought my S4 ECodes from ebay.de with the bulbs and ballasts for roughly $400 shipped yayons ago. Paid with paypal and the item came within 2 weeks in pristine condition.

I was worried at first doing the wire transfer, but then I realised that with the Eurowire transfer from your bank, you have all his info. I would just suggest sticking with people that have above a 96% or so. With the international Ebay stuff, it's easy to get a few negative feedbacks from miscommunication and language barriers. Since I started doing it I've gotten three or four due to the seller not sending me the correct info after several emails from me and some language issues. Anyway, I don't recognize that seller, but if you PM me the item number I'll check it out for you and see if it sounds legit.
