Power question for b7 with bolt ons.

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I'm sorry if this seems like a noob question but I'm a b6 guy looking to possibly get into a b7. Would a b7 with these mods running on 91 be able to make around 300 CHP?

    Software
    Exhaust
    Test Pipe
    CAI
    FMIC
    DV
    FSI Pump

I've seen where these cars run high 13s - low 14s with mods like this. Some b6 BT cars can only manage high 13s! I knew the 2.0 made better power than the 1.8 but I had no clue how much more.

Also, if someone had the info and time to post it, just how much money are we talking about to buy these parts? I'm sure I'll look at the usual vendors anyway but if someone could give me an idea, that would be righteous.

LOL, yeah that's what got me interested in getting a b7. His posts about his 0-60 times, I thought that was impressive. I saw where he said he thought he would get around 290 chp. Does anyone think that's possible/not possible/ probable?

It's definently possible, there are others here with the same bolt ons as me putting 240-250whp down which is a great number. Most chipped/exhaust/intake/testpipe 6 speeds are in the high 13's without fmic and fsi pump.

    You got a link?

If that is indeed on a Dyno Dynamics then I'm in awe. I've personally seen a B6 S4 put down 245whp on a DD.

PS: I'm not trying to hate or doubt or anything, just interested in obtaining true numbers.

Re: Power question for b7 with bolt ons.

Dyno numbers are so hard to judge a cars power. It all goes back to the idea that all dynos are different as well as all cars are different. I have dynoed my car 4 times already and have gotten 4 different numbers. So far from what i have researched my last dyno session on a MaHa Dyno has been the best because thats a German dyno which most german car companies use. I have dynoed at 275whp and 318wtq. From what i gather there is no way any of the stock turbos, no matter the mods are going to come as close as everyone claims. I have all the mods for this car, all!!! Anyways i hope these BT kits come out soon.

Holy crap that's right in my back yard!

Just as an FYI, the Auto Motion Mustang Dyno is notorious around here for being conservative ( i.e. - low readings).

You need the timing advance of 93 octane gas to get you to 300 bhp
    -Unitronics Stage 2+ ECU/TCU tune.
    -EI AL CAI.
    -Driver Mod.

No it wont. Judjing from the GTIs and in places where the gas is with 100octanes, the stock K03 cannot reach more than 285 optimistic HP...

In order to reach and get over 300hp you MUST go to another turbo, with the smaller being the S3 8P K04...

extremesport3 said above he got to 275 WHP on a MaHa I would think that would translate to at least 300 brake/crank horsepower, wouldn't it? Also, I'm asking these questions out of pure curiosity, nothing more.

APR quoted 300CHP for their KO4 kit when they sold it. So I doubt you can get 300CHP out of a heavily modded KO3.

Exactly my point...Unless all the other people in the world are stupid and with 100octane gas they cant do what someone can with a 93 one....
    I dont think so...
270-280 is more likely, but difficult as well...
