Boser

I think i want a boser hood. I have no need in a lighter hood, so i found a shop nearby which can do the custom boser from my stock hood.
Now im thinking if i should go with the original Boser look or make something custom. Any ideas?
Here is what they made for a b5 a4
(this car is for sale i think here in Chicago btw)

I like how the boser hoods for our cars look and would shoot for something like this.. but I am biased.. :)

Yeah, thats what ive wanted for a while :))) But i wanna get some more ideas.

I mean you could go with what they did on the B5, but the sharp edge looks a little out of place in my opinion... plus you do realize that having your hood customized will cost probably as much as getting a new cf hood... just my 2 cents and disregard if money is not an issue...

They said its gonna be $200 to make the Boser + $200 to repaint the whole hood.
If i find someone in the area who will trade their CF Boser, id consider that.

Not bad then at all sounds like a good deal... since the bosers are going for like $500 to $800...

Yeah, plus shipping/repainting/installation and etc.
But im still a bit concerned how custom gonna look like, thats why i wanna get some kind of measurements to give them.

Take whatever u think is important. Like lets say divide it into 3 pcs, from right to left (headlight) and measure it from the bottom to the top, and how it goes smaller in the size. And if u'd plz take some pics from a really close. ;)

thats a good idea to have a body shop modify my hood to look like the boser, i dont have the 900 bucs for the carbon fiber one i saw earlier, and ive been wanting a more aggressive looking front end for a while now, i wonder if the hood cutting down in front of the lights like that reduces visability at all?

idk what you all see in boser hoods...i used to have a vw and i LOVED it on them...but on our cars idk im just not feelin it...who knows, maybe im a fool lol good luck with the project though, post up pics when done so i can grow to like them :)

I thought about it, but i will need some kind of dimensions for the inserts (wholes)

just do this, get some dimesions of the difference b/t boser and stock hood, then take half of it, that will give you the vorsteiner hood look. that's not too over done

then you need some guy who is really good at custom body work to do it for you. show a guy like that with a picture, he will take care of the rest but it will be more $$$ i suppose.

^^ That looks sick. I like the cut of that boser the best. As far as light colors with carbon I only like it on white cars, still a kinda rice though.
