    Dice installation help please

So I was trying to install my Ipod integration kit this morning and was unable too get it to work. I think I have everything connected correctly and when I press the CD button on the radio to access it, nothing happens. The radio acts as if it was completely stock and I still have complete control of my CD player and can access and play all 6 CDs. I replaced the blue radio connecter from the stock harness with the white Dice cable and grounded the Dice cable. I plugged the other end of the Dice cable from the harness into the Dice box. Dice box is then connected directly to my Ipod. At this point I believe it should work, so I press the CD button on the radio unit and nothing happens. I press different CDs within the changer and it simply changes CDs and plays them as it normally would. I took a few pics of how I have everything connected so theres a link to them below. Its a 2007 A4 with no NAV or Sat. You guys have any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong?

Have you tried turning the power off to your stereo, then turn it back on while the ipod is on the entire time? this will allow the stereo to see the ipod is connected.... I am sure that you have also pressed the "CD" button twice?. Good luck, hope some of this was helpful/

did you ground the DICE unit to the headunit? when i first installed mine, i had it grounded to a screw in the console, and i had the same problem as you. once i grounded the wire to a screw on the actual radio headunit, it worked properly.

btw, what headunit do you have? Symphany II+? the connections look different from my Symphany II.

    good luck!

    Re: Dice installation help please

i have the Dice unit for my B7. No Nav or Sat. Definitely check the ground. Also, try what Green mentioned and turn the radio off and then back on with your ipod connected. It took my ipod a couple of minutes to download the programming from the Dice unit and for the dice unit and stereo to recognize the ipod. Finally, it may sound stupid and amateur, but double check all the cables and make sure they are pushed all the way in on the back of the stereo. a couple of mine were a bit tough to get plugged back in.

finally, despite what the Dice instructions say, I push the CD button and not the SAT button. Overall, I am very pleased w/ the Dice product.
