i just did the timing belt on a 99.5 a4 1.8t, automatic trans, we made it through the whole process with no problems at all and as soon as we got the front clip back on we noticed there was one straggler wiring clip, the wires going into the harness are a Red/Green, Brown, Brown/Black (only three wires) a multimeter test is showing a 14-16V current when the car is on, it seems to be a SWITCHED connection, but we can not figure out where this plugs into and im not really looking forward to disassembling the who front clip just figure out what it is. does anyone have any ideas?

First off, voltage is not current, amperage is current, voltage is potential... Sorry, I just hate it when people use incorrect terminology... My guess is that it goes to the hood latch for the alarm...
