Absorb my last 3 lease payments at $630 a mo.
$1000 off list price
Add CPO for two years @ $2995
Out the door just over $44k
Payment 5yr at 5.9% approx $840 a mo.

Car has Sportec lowering Springs, Wheels, and exhaust.

Clean history though it is in need of a new Torque converter that they'll replace.

Took it home over night. Retail Blue book is $51k

^+1. What Frank is saying is correct. I read someones post and I heard it costs a fortune to maintain the car you are wanting. If you can afford the extra $210.00 a month and pay for the repairs, more power to you. Honestly, if I had a choice to spend $44000 on a car I would just buy new. The new C350 or maybe even the brand new V6 TT BMW 1 series. One of the tech at BMW around my way got a fully loaded 1 series for around $46000.00.

Yeah i def do see the "intelligence" in buying a new car but they just don't excite me. The 1 series is badass for a little car. But its just that. A little car that I think I'd get bored with. Mercedes 350 Sounds more around my alley but its just too common and much less powerful. Something about the exclusivity of the rs6 just excites me... I went from an 03 350z to a 04 STi to an 03.5 SMG M3 to an 04 MT S4 to an 01.5 MT stage 3 s4 to now an 07 MT a4 Avant. This rs6 just seems to be a natural fit since I can't afford an rs4 at the moment :) I'd probably keep it the length of the CPO warranty then put it up for sale. Only new cars I really like is the s5. Thought about another e46 M3 for around the same price however they are everywhere! I guess I like being a lil different.

That car is due for its first Timing Belt job. I would work that into the deal if it hasn't already been done. My buddy was quoted $2400 from dealer for his. RS6 = TB job every 35K

I say get it. Judging from your past history of owning 'high maintenance' cars, you'll be fine...plus, the financing sounds awesome!

I guess the only thing that doesn't fit is why go back to TIP when you've driven manual?

the deal in and of itself is pretty good. do what you want. i too would not keep that car beyond the CPO. i had an rs6 when it first came out. i did a stage 2 hodge podge of GIAC/sportec/milltek and it was very quick. the car is very unassuming, so although it is very exclusive, the vast majority of people won't even know what it is.

I would say make sure that you can afford its "maintenance" meaning stuff the cpo wont cover, and I would not keep it past its cpo just because it will end up costing you a couple thousand a year just on regular maintenance. Its a sick car, if you can afford all of its maintenance. Go for it!

going from an A4 to RS6 is priceless

good find... make sure they let you take it on a nice long drive before you sign anything (get everything @ operating temp) just to double check/listen/feel for any hiding problems

Well I took the car overnight and did enjoy my time with it. It pulls like a train and drinks like one too... However it's just not everything I want. If I'm going to make that kind of payment on a car I feel I should be 100% without a doubt totally happy. The silver interior is the biggest turn off for me. That coupled with the wood trim is a deal breaker. Black interior with CF trim and I might have pulled the trigger. The seats make this annoying crinkling sound too. Assuming from the lumbar air bag??? 800+ a month on a car I feel you better be sure without a doubt. Car would probably be trouble for me in the end. It's so fast I feel I would be stretching its legs quite a bit. Already have an over 100mph speeding ticket on my record in a Honda Element mind you haha long story. Anyway probably going to end up back in a b6 or b7 s4. Not quite as powerful but great car nonetheless. Thanks for your input... Kinda miss the car already... Anyone have rs6 CF trim and black seats for trade? ;)

If I know u were looking 4 one, it could be sitting in ur garage now.

I do miss it sometime but I actually enjoy my MANUAL transmission more than the auto in the RS 6. I give up the BI-Turbo but gain a Clutch! ;) Maybe u can buy my B6 S4 Nogaro with blue Alcantara. :) Good Luck hunting.

I am here in Vegas as well. Did you check the Desert Audi Henderson? Last time I was there they had a Silver 03 Rs6, think it had black interior...it had low miles and they wanted a good price for it as well.

RS6 is awesome and all, but it's a 4.2L gas drinker. And with the price of gas getting higher and no forseeable relief, you'd be kinda stuck unless you just got it like that.

Haha, small world..that was a nice car at Henderson.. I brought my a6 4.2 in for an oil change, and almost walked out with your old car. I wanted it but my car is bad enough on gas, add in 2 turbos i might as well just live at the gas station.

Think if you are willing to pay for the services it will require, and dont mind another half payment in gas each month, I would pick it up for sure.
