no, car just stuttered for a second and i wondered if i imagined it, then i tried to go and had no power, then the car was dead.... tried to crank it and it wouldnt fire... no fault codes.. i took the rear seat out and had my buddy crank the car while i tapped the top of the pump with a rubber mallet and sure enough it fired off for just a sec and you could hear the pump run for a split second too....
please stop worrying about your car locking up... its no different than running out of gas which people do every day... audi knows that people will do this and did something im sure because your car just wont lockup and screech/slide to a stop on the side of the interstate... i work for enterprise and i continually have customers call me who have run out of gas (all automatics) no one has ever said the that all the wheels just locked up and slid to a stop.... just think, your engine is still turning, it just doesnt have any fuel going into it....
if it happens to you, just let the car coast to the side or pop it in neutral and let it coast then put it in park and turn the ignition off
