and was wondering if its possible to run 245's? Im frequently in NYC, so 19's and/or lowering don't really fit the bill. I'm really looking for the perfect avant stance and realize the 32 ET will help but would like the look of a wider tire.

Will rub, I tried it with my b6 avant with sport suspension and had to go to 235's. may want to try a higher et like 35 for flush fender look.

Without a drop and/or 19's, your stock wheels will look better. 18's with a lip look tiny.

I agree. I wanted to upgrade to 19's but I might go for a lip-less 18". Bigger wheels + necessary drop = crappy ride over rough pavement and potholes. I'm leaning toward 18" x 8.5 Sportec Mono 10.
