timing chain tensioner

does the timing chain tensioner need its fluid changed or anything. its hydraulic right? i have been noticing louder startups than normal like the chain has a good amount of slack. however starting and stopping and starting the car again in short period makes no noise which leads me to believe the tensioner is losing pressure and tension quickly. thoughts?

If it's like the VR tensioners it gets it's fluid from the engine oil pressure.

Hmm i guess this would make sense if that is true - warmer weather = more viscous oil so it would loose pressure quicker than in cold weather where oil moves slower. I also just put in Motul oil as well and noticed it after this.
