Jacked the car up and now floor boards are fugly!

I saw a spot right behind where the jack mount was put couldn't fit the jack stand underneath the car with the jack in that position so backed it up a little...noticed that the area raised up about an inch and now my floor boards are raised up to where the floor mates are now flush with the floor. Anybody done this and have a fix?

I know I need to vacuum! :) but you can see where the dirt is building up in the crevasse.

Its kind of hard to see what you are talking about in the pic. If it raised it up some from the jack. have you tried pounding it back down from the inside?

    1) get a 12" scissor jack and a 4 foot long 4x4
    2) place the scissor jack on the floor and brace the top of the 4x4 against the roof
    3) extend the scissor jack to push the bulged floorboard back into place

    then...

to get the bulge out of the roof of you car

    4) repeat the same process using the scissor jack and 4x4 braced off of the ceiling of your garage

    then...

    5) repair any cracked joists and replace the damgaged sheet rock

    Hope this helps...

It was like this when I bought it...the previous owner installed different floor mats so I'm thinking they just come up short and make the floor boards look like this. Can someone just feel there floor boards for me and let me know if this is normal? Thanks.

That's not normal. The material where the jack was placed is not strong and dented up. You have to remove the carpet from that area and hammer it down.

Just take off the plastic cover on the door sills and pull the carpet back. Then get a 2x4 piece of wood that is just a foot long and place it over the bulge and hit the hammer on that and it should push it to a flatten.
