Outta curiosity, how long does it take to install a window regulator? My a4 was broken into on Saturday and luckily the window held its ground, tripped the alarm, and the dude left with only an inch down on the window! But i rolled it down and it got stuck down. So I took it to Pac Audi for them to fix it, but its been 3 days now (I gave it to them on Tues.) and they still haven't called me or fixed it yet!

I wouldn't mind it had they had an Audi courtesy car, but they sent me over to budget and they put me in a Pontiac GrandPrix in poop brown! AHH

Lame part is... Im paying for this repair... Not AAA b/c its a $1000 deductible and Audi quoted me $520 for them to fix it

I paid $375 for the driver's window regulator... parts and labour ($200: part, $175 labour). And thought it was steep!

Not sure about how difficult it is but I'm sure someone with a Bentley Manual will chime in.

Maybe try calling a local indy shop and get a quote? It's a pretty standard procedure so it shouldn't be a stretch for a phone quote.

you should just attempt a diy... parts would still run about $200 though

The part is $167.00 and all you need to do is pull the door trim/card off and there are two tabs that hold the window regulator/switches in place. The dealer did it for me since I was under warrenty for $50 bucks.. but I looked it up just out of curiosity sake... oh and it oly took them about 2 hours to do
