The wheels/tires are now sold!
First off, now fully detailed and some pics added including a link to a web gallery if you want to see all the pics. I have fully inspected each wheel and have updated my description based on my findings. I want to be 100% accurate in my description so that you know exactly what you are buying and what to expect. These are far from inexpensive wheels and if I were buying a set at this level, I would want to have this as well. Sorry if TMI..
I have decided to 'downgrade' to BBS CH's which I recently picked up and sell my higher $ rims for a little extra fundage for other toys so....
Up for sale I have a set of 4 Neuspeed RS10's 19" with Falken FK-452's in 235/35/19. First off, for those who are interested, these wheels/tires weigh in at 44lbs as the photo shows. The tires are not as light as SO2's but not too bad either. From the stock Avus wheels, this shaved off about 11lbs per corner... a noticeable difference FWIW.
First off the tires: They are have very even wear across the 4, were rotated twice while on the car. I would guess they have around 12-13K on them. All four have plenty of tread left as the pictures illustrate. I don't have a gauge but I would still say conservatively 60%+ life is left. No bubbles, bulges etc... only a minor scrape on one that had the curbage. Picture shows this very well. I will also say that these Falkens are a terrific bang for the buck tire... amazing grip, great look etc. The only thing I could say negatively about them is that they are not as quiet on the road as the stock Conti's. But I suppose that is to be expected with a high performance stickier tire.
The wheels:
Three of the wheels are in absolutely beautiful condition, just a few faint nicks from normal everyday driving. I have confirmed after detailing that three of the wheels are indeed in excellent condition. They cleaned up nicely, finish beautiful etc. As mentioned, there are a couple nicks/scratches here and there, but you have to get really close to find them, just normal things from driving. I have taken pics of any blemishes I could find on the three that are excellent. One looks like a pebble hit it and chipped away a little bit of the finish, probably about an eraser head size. I have taken a close-up of that blemish.
The forth wheel: Well, good news and bad news on this one. Good news is the curbage is VERY minor... not even 2 inches... and could be sanded/buffed out with major ease. The picture should show this well; it is NOT deep into the metal at all. The bad news: I was surprised to find that there were not one but two minor bends on the inside of the rim. WTF. There was this one time I let my wife drive the S4 for the day... Anyway, sucks. They are not major at all, and of course the tire holds air 100% perfectly. The tire is also just fine where the two bends are. The picture of the worse one makes it look a little worse than it is, but I wanted to try to shoot it at all angles. The second is barely noticeable. The side shot shows them in perspective. This same wheel also has a bit of the finish pealed away (clear coat) and I've taken as good a shot to show that as I could. I am going to take this wheel into a wheel shop Monday and see about getting it fixed up. I would rather sell them all in the same condition so they are ready to bolt on for the buyer. I am open to selling them as is and negotiate on the price a little too.
The wheels are really fantastic and I'll miss the lightness of them, it made a noticeable difference in performance, they are barely 20lbs each, amazingly light for a 19" wheel. These are fully forged wheels and sell for $499 each at the least. Wheel size is 19x8.5, offset is +35 and the tires are the standard 235/35/19. Also of note, these wheels are hub-centric so no centering ring required, made for Audi's!
I would naturally GREATLY prefer a local sell but will ship. I will have to acquire some shipping boxes as the boxes my replacement wheels/tires came it were damaged a bit in shipping; protected my new wheels but I would not want to reuse them.
