Anyone know the part number for the avant rear wiper?

Yes, I searched. Came across a post just like this from 2006... with no answers.

I ordered a rear wiper through the dealer, but it does not fit... too long and too wide to fit within the plastic cover/arm

The part number of the wiper they sold me is 8D9 955 427. Does anyone know the # for the correct one? This wiper is 15" and the stock, correct size is probably 13" or so, maybe 14". Im at a loss here, I told the dealer 2002 A4, but perhaps they ordered the one for the b5???

My buddy broke my rear wiper when turning it on with my Thule bike rack on. I had to order/replace the entire wiper arm as an assembly.

This is what I have:
8E9-955-407-C (Wiper arm assembly: contains arm, spring, wiper blade and end that bolts onto the wiper motor spindle)
8E9-955-205-C (I think this is the plastic cover that covers the wiper motor spindle and nut that holds the wiper arm in place).

Think I paid around $70-80 for this.

The 343mm (approx. 13.5") rear blade for my 2002 A4 avant is part number : 8E9 955 425 C . This is the style that snaps inside of the plastic arm/cover. It costs ~$10 at the dealer, and included both the rubber insert and the metal frame that supports the rubber. To remove the old blade you just pull it strait out, it clips into place.

The one that I bought before that did not fit must be for an open arm style, ala B5 avants. I suggest that you verify the length of your blade before calling the dealer to order, just to make sure.
