Is it me or are the A4 wipers a tad slow?

So...it was pouring here in massachusetts today and I turned on my wipers on the fastest speed and it seemed like it was like the second-fastest speed on any normal other car. I mean, it did the job, but I felt like it lacked the speed found in other cars.

I use Rain-X on my windshield and it essentially removes the necessity of using the wipers unless I am driving in monsoon-like conditions.

yeah, I was joking. They do seem slower than my other cars. But, I think the highest setting (even on my Jetta) was too fast. The blur of the wipers was almost worse than the rain on the windshield!

Speaking of the wipers - I love the little extra wipe at the end of the cleaning cycle. classy.

i haven't used my wipers in so long the blades are dry rotted.. time for some new ones i guess. anyone ever use rain x blades?

I live in the Desert so I hardly ever use my wipers. The last time I did use them they seemed fast enough for me though. I don't need them to be super fast turbo hyper speed wipers as long as they do the job.

I bet your wiper linkage is about to seize .. mine slowed down and then eventually seized. lame.


now that I've replaced the linkage they seem to be the same speed as any other car
