    Water Temp with VAG

the water temp gauge on my cluster intermittently will drop down a few notches, even after an hour of driving, i'm deathly afraid my t-stat is failing, or sticking, but I want to confirm that the coolant temp sensor isn't failing. Does anyone know how to read the water temp with a VAG ? What channel is the water temp on the logging ?

If I can watch the water temp stay steady and catch the cluster gauge dipping down, I know for sure it's the temp sensor, if the water temps dip down as shown on my cluster gauge, i'm f*$%ed !

    Re: Water Temp with VAG

VAG com uses the sensor to read the temp. If the sensor is screwed, the gauge will show it and so will VAG. I would just replace the sensor and if the problem persists, then start thinking about the t-stat.
