I searched before starting this thread and didn't quite find what I was looking for. When I was driving home from school today my shifter knob started to vibrate a little harder than it was supposed to. So I turn off my music and I hear a clicking sound that sounds like its coming from a bad joint. I was not turning and it seems not to happen while turning, only a tiny bit when driving forward, pretty loud on upshifting and most prevailent in downshifting. I also noticed the sound around 30 mph and was kind of scared to drive it over 45 (luckily I was close to home). When I get home I roll the car on my ramps and inspect the axles and both of them appear fine, no loose bolts or anything. I replaced the passenger's axle this past Friday and thought I torqued all of the bolts down to oem specs, but will check again later this evening to make sure. I know that you were usually supposed to replace both axles when it's time to switch out so could one axle be pulling stronger than the other and making the other one worse? Any input would be appreciated.
