Those bird dropping that land on the paint of a car are highly acidic...as they dry, the etch into your clear coat. That is why when you wipe the droppings away, there is a dull spot. The only way to get that out is to have it polished out...with a PC or Rotary. Sometimes a vinager/water mix works, but not likely.
Here is what I'm talking about
:
Stage 1: Bird droppings, tree sap or insects land on your car's waxed finish.
If wiped off immediately, these contaminants seldom present a problem.
Stage 2: The sun comes out. Moisture in the contamination evaporates but acids in the droppings become more concentrated, eating through the wax and into the top paint or clear coat layer.
