    Spark plug confusion...need some clarification.

So I've reading about our plugs. You guys recommend the Copper Core V-Power by NGK. This seems to be the plug of choice by the tut in A4mods as well. However, you have warned that the copper core V-powers tend to foul fairly quickly and needs to be changed every 5000 miles, in line with the oil change. Then there are a few that recommends the Denso Iridium Plugs.

With this in mind, I ordered a set of V-powers and a set of Denso Iridium Power plugs. My confusion is that when I checked out the package of the Denso, Part Number IK20 5304. It says on the box that they are gapped at .4mm.

Question 1. Is that the proper gap for my car?

Question 2. The packaging says that it has a copper core...so I'm guessing the tips are Iridium, so that it will withstand fouling. So would this be then the ideal setup? Copper core for the heat and electrical conductivity and Iridium tip for longevity?

    Thanks in advance.

The denso IK line is a good line of plug. I would go with the IK22 if I were you though.

Thanks Co Avant, that was pretty insightful reading. With only the APR Stage I in Northern California, would I still need the colder plug?

BTW, I only got these plugs in case the copper ones give me issues. I plan to install the copper V-powers at my next oil change interval. But I wanted to have a set of Iridiums, in case I run into some problems with the coppers.

You don't need 1 range colder plug but your engine will be happy.
