Both are Garrett GT's

One on the left is what was on my car, T3 GT3071R, .63 a/r, 4" Antisurge Inlet, 5 Bolt to 3" V-Band Exhaust housing, polished compressor housing. On the right is my new turbo, T3 GT3076R, .63 a/r, 4" Inlet, 3" V-Band Exhaust housing, polished compressor housing

So what benefits are you going to see going from the 71R to 76R? IIRC, Shawn arent you staying with a 1.8L and with the A/R of both turbos the same, what exactly is changing?

3071R is a big package in a smaller box, 3076R is just a tiny bit bigger package in a more adequately sized box. About the best way I can explain it. The 76R over the 71R when maxed out can show gains of 30-50whp, basically just a more efficient combination. The wheel a/r is the same for both turbo's, .63, however the compressor wheel on the 76R is noticeably larger looking at them in person. The compressor housings are also different, 50 a/r on the 3071R and 60 a/r on the 3076R

Not much if any later than the 71, maybe 50-100rpms if that

The S4 Avant would be a daily driver instead of the A4 avant i have now.

^^8mpg from the V12 doesn't seem economical i bet, but if u had an 02 , half the cylinders would shut down while cruising allowing u to get 23mpg, but u wouldn't have the power lol!

^^^ its not 8mpg, if you dont push it so hard i can get 10-13 miles and if i let my old fart cruise on it he will get like 15 easy. lol.

But overal it is a gas guzzler.

that would be nice. As soon as I get my turbo up and running I will try to tape the track events, dynos and street runs (this will be minimal because I don't street race and shit, lol) but have some friends with great cars to test .

Depends what your making a decision off of. 1/4 mile times, my car is slow. David talks shit (all in good fun I know) but from a highway roll he wouldnt have a chance!

and it's good to hear you've finally got a file made for that turbo! maybe I'll make some time in my schedule to get down to florida before you sell the car and we'll have to see just how much faster a 3076 really is....
