HARDWIRE ipod charger

Hey guys i want to hardwire an ipod/iphone charger into the audi- i just want/need some advice as how i should do it.

also is it possible to tap into the headunits power? and if so would the charger turn on/off with car and be able to turn on even when the cars off like our stereo does?

is this as simple as taking the power iphone charger and splicing it into a power wire or will it require a ground or something?

Appreciate the help (and im not looking for DICE or anything- purely a charger)

done and done, charges when the car is on and for 20 min after
