looking for GTRS logs block 115

    Hi B6 guys,

I'm looking for boost logs of b6 guys running the eliminator turbo. With or without the ATP manifold, but please note if you are or are not running it. Just trying to see where everyone hits full boost (please don't reply with I hit full boost at 3.5k, i'd like to see some logs please)

I recently installed an eliminator kit on my 2001 b5, but am having some problems with late spool. i don't hit full boost until 5k rpm. the car definitely feels fast from 5-7k but i only hit 10psi at 4k. exhaust setup: 034 motorsports manifold, labree HFC, APR 2.5" exhaust from cat back. i've pressure tested the system, no exhaust leaks. my next step is to swap in an MBC.

well a hfc is gonna slow the spool a little (lets say 200rpm) the N75 controlling boost also slows the spool (200-300rpm) and then depending on what timing you are on that will also slow the spool (if you are on like 1, 2 or 3 with revo) I see you are a 2001 so I don't even know what software you have. So adding the high flow cat and n75 you could easily hit "full boost" which I will say is 22psi at like 4300rpm then depending on your timing that could knock it close to 4500. You do have a larger than stock turbo intake pipe with the larger inlet adapter on the turbo right? That is also a big thing for rpm lag.

Another thing could be your diverter valve is leaking boost so you might want to clean it or swap another one in of you have a friend with one to use.

You question has far to many answers, why do you be a little more specific?

The RPM level that you see boost is load dependent. Typical logs are done in a 3rd or 4th gear pull from about 2500 on.

SFTA and you will see that the GTRS consitently hits 18-20 PSI at 35-3700 RPMs and the 71R Eliminatator hits it a 37-3900 RPMS.

Of course there are several different variables that can affect spool, these are timing, fuel, load and vewhicle weight.

If you are seeing full boost at 3500 RPMs, there is definitely an issue with your installation, most likely it is the N75 valve.

Not to worry though, your issues can be troubleshot in about 20 minutes.

First thing you want to do is disconnect the boost signal line between the turbo outlet and the N75, connect it directly to the turbo. This will take the N75 out of the equation and you should be running on the wastegate spring only. In this configuration you should see 14PSI and you should see it at 32-3400 RPMS.

Second thing you should do is install a MBC inbetween the boost signal line between the turbo and wastegate. Try to set it for 20PSI and see where you get boost, it should be between 35-3700 RPMS.

If you are not seeing boost more quickly, the issue lies elsewhere than the N75. Check injector seals, check valves, spark plugs and cylinder compression.

lol, with my car i dont hit 14 psi until 4300rpms... I just changed the diverter valve, I have no boost leaks or vac leaks. In addition I do o think i have an exhaust leak either...

Well since your asking for logs from other elim owners wouldn't it help to post your logs too?
