you dont need anything special, you just need to splice into the correct wires for the signal, and amp turn on lead, and youll be all set

Your power wire must be the same gauge as your ground. I would go with 4Ga ground wire (no more than 3 ft...the shorter you make it, the better) with 4Ga power wire. Also get 18Ga remote turn on wire with an inline AGU fuse holder with the correct fuses (I got 50A for a 500W amp) and place the fuse holder a few inches from your battery unless you want a fire. Also get 12Ga speaker cable for your subs. If you have a bose radio, you will need to tap into your speaker cables. Get a high power line converter, hook it up to your speaker cables, and get some RCA's to send to your amp. You can get the converter here with all of the other stuff I mentioned. http://woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuse...roduct_id=5795

I just hooked up a sub/amp to my bose system...I can email you a pic of the wires you splice into from the factory amp if you like.

Yeah...I'll post the picture after work tomorrow. Its really quite simple...(Tom26) I wouldn't pay someone to do it when the info is right in front of you. Thats money you could spend on other mods. I'll guide you through it if you want.

Is it true that we have a factory sub with the bose system? I've heard that but not sure as i've never seen it.

There are two 6.5 bose subs running 8ohms on the rear deck. The amp sends a bass only frequency to these speakers. Mine can handle pretty low frequencies...enough to fuzz the mirrors.

Just splice into the first 4 wires on the rear of the amp...(left rear and right rear positive and negative) and then the wire you see in the picture by the larger power wire is spliced for the remote wire. Good luck with the install.

Re: what cables do I need for an aftmk. sub if I have Bose radio?

could i run an amp inline with some infinity speakers in the back (previous owner replaced them, and now they make almost no sound), its 250w with adjustable power, i know the speakers can take that much. how would i run a power line from the battery to the amp though? that's my only concern. would a line out converter be needed? could i use a rocker switch for the remote line?

i put my hole for my power wire and my vacuum for boost through a small gromet in the fire wall. Use whatever fuse is on the amp plus 10. i hooked my LOC off the speaker wires at the rear factory speakers then tucked the LOC. sounds great.

I ran my 4 gauge wire through the hole/gommet that the wire for the hood release goes through. And yes...you can use a rocker switch for your remote line...just don't run it from your main power source...use the wire I showed in the picture. If your installing another amp..yes you will need a line converter.
