B6 Avant Tire Size & Spacer advice

Hey, I have a set of 18x8 et. 42 wheels and I am wondering what would be the correct tire size for that wheel. Also, the car currently is not lowered but will be before years end likely on a PSS9 setup and I was wondering if/what size spacers would be required/recommended.

Normally our 18x8 is around ET35, so you'll need somthing around 8mm or bigger. Recommeded tire size is 235/40-18.

Just like Doc said. Your +42's are going to look sunken in without a spacer.

Thanks guys. I knew when I purchased the wheels I would be needing spacers. It was however a deal that I couldn't pass up. I realize spacers are not the ideal way to make the wheels fit, but it will allow me some room to play once I install my new suspension.
