Eclipse Titanium 12" SW9122 and a Rockford T400-2 amp (<- installed about a week ago, by Samson at Revision Audio, along with the steering wheel controls for the head unit). Might switch to a sealed box. I like to have the sound quality, versus the sheer volume that I am getting right now.

nice, I need a sub too, because my bose system lacks bass. That is definetly on my list of mods, I'll get to it eventually.

That is pretty sick man. Unfortunately, I won't have money to do anything like that for quite some time.

Yeah, Samson is a good guy. I would have bought the amp and sub from him, but I got them from a friend of mine for super cheap. He did a great job on the install and everything. It's nice to have the steering wheel controls again as well, it just took him forever to get the modules in. I am definitely gonna go through him when I want to get some Tein coil-overs or new rims.

I'm with you on the Bose. THe sub was alright, but doesn't have enough low end. It'd be fine for normal people, but I've had an aftermarket sub in all of my cars. I left the Bose sub wired in, so it can still fill in on the higher bass notes.

What's the peak watt on your sub and amp? I'm looking at around 300-500watts in a sealed box. Don't know what I'm gonna run as of yet.

Re: Put my sub in today :)

Well, the RMS for the sub is 750 watts, peak is 1500. The amp is pushing somewhere around 750-800 RMS. It states that it is stable at 2-ohms bridged, but doesn't state the wattage. It is 400 RMS bridged at 4-ohms, so i'd assume it's close to 800. The sub can handle a lot more, from what I hear. These subs are supposed to be good, on par with JL 12w7's, if not better. I had a w6 in the past and this setup is far louder with more watts.

I got the stuff from a friend, brand new amp and 2 12's that were in his M3.

Yeah, I heard good things about that eclipse sub. I'd love to hear how your setup sounds at the next meet. Also, do you have a farad cap hooked up?

i was gonna get one if the draw looked like a problem, but my lights are fine. I am probably gonna get one to be safe.

A cap is not really necessary for that install but I guess it can't hurt either. I have a 5F cap sitting around doing nothing now.

hehe, just in case. The amp is running at somewhere around 800w RMS at 2-ohms. The cap is only a 1.2 farad. Didn't wanna take any chances with it. The amp wasn't drawing too much prior. I never saw any lighting fluctuations.
