Dropped my ride off at Audi of Hawaii yesterday for her 100,000 mile tune-up. They found that I had a cracked coolant reservoir and my auxiliary water pump was badly leaking coolant. So I told them to replace those and then today they found that my radiator had holes in it.

Anyone in the market for a 24 year old *barely used* left lung or possibly a 24 year old *like new* kidney? I could really use the cash.

The worst part is they don't have the parts in stock so I'll be without my car for about a week.

the coolant reservoir tank is easy to replace. I've done it when I had my S4. The aux water pump tends to go bad (I don't know why they made it out of plastic). Mine did and replaced it asap. I bought most of my parts from ECS tuning and let Thomas install the parts in my old B5. Well, Hopefully if all your parts come in on time you should be able to make it to C&C.

HAHA, thats exactly what he told me when I met him. I guess I'm not the only one he's told that to.

She should be ready by this weekend hopefully. I have a french canadian girl coming to visit Saturday for 5 days and it would suck to be car less.

She should definitely be done in time for cars and coffee. I just got her back from Ryan (Tech One Customs) about a week ago and I've already picked up two door dings on my rear passenger door. June 2008 just wasn't my month.

Actually I probably was the one that told TAI that if you plan on buying a S4, you need atleast the same amount as the purchase price to maintain it. I still love my car though and it has been pretty reliable for the crap I've put it through.

Good news so far. My insurance company agreed to pay $675 of the $990 for the Auxiliary water pump. They may pay for the Coolant Reservoir and Radiator as well. This may not hurt as bad as I initially thought. That being said I'll still probably be without my car until Monday.

Good news is my insurance company authorized a 5 day rental with Enterprise. Most likely they were going to stick me with a Chevy Cobalt or Pontiac G6 or something gay like that but Jason at Audi hooked me up with an A3 to drive for the next couple days. It may not be my S4 but atleast I still have 4 rings infront of me.

Nice, the A3 is a fun car to drive.

Yeah its fun, 2.0 turbo but its an automatic and FWD. I like the interior, the instrument cluster is nice as always. Has that new car smell to her. It has "paddle shifting" which makes me laugh.
