Soo i got my a/c fixed but....

my a/c is now working again after getting one of my hoses replaced that was causing it to leak. Now.

when i have my a/c turned on and it selected on the middle vents. The vents or something behind the vents makes kinda a loud noise. Its kinda annoying unless i have music playing to block it out. When i put the air coming out from the feet area or the defroster area the sound goes away but not completely. So it seems to only happen when the air is blowing out of the middle main vents. Anyone get this or have a way of fixing it.

Its not one of those problems im really worrying about but it would be a lot better if it was more silent.

BTW its not the fan from blowing the air thats making the noise, no matter how hard or soft the air is set at you blow, it still makes the noise..

But I am going with maybe an elephant got into your vents and is eating peanuts in there...

does the noise change with the fan speed? I know you said it still makes the noise if the fan is on, but curious if it changes.

possibility of something being stuck in there, leaves in the blower blades....
One of my instructors at school found a 5ft long snake in a customers HVAC system. The guy took his snake to the pet store to get it food(mice). A mouse got loose and the snake followed. Mouse fit, snake didn't.

Well, if it is sort of a hum/whoopee cusion noise at times, it could be the vent seals. I know the foam around my center vent came loose and blew chunks of foam into my car and started to hum/fart... Happens at most fan speeds...

Pull the center vent out. The one right above the HVAC and Audio controls just pulls straight out(or mine does) and look behind it with a flashlight. Maybe a cousin, sister, G/F, somebody put a surprise back there for you to find.

Most people dispose of those in other fashions.

... off topic but, a buddy of mine had a girlfriend that 'spit' out the window after some highway fun. Needless to say he had to clean his car off afterwards b/c the wind in the highway splattered what could've been his illegitimate child all over the side of his car.

Moral of the story, ... don't know if there is one. More of a fun fact for the day.

Back on topic, does the noise reduce when you open the side vents? Mine makes a lot more noise when the side vents are closed
