misfire in cylinder 2! I don't know what the problem is?

My check engine light came on and my engine started to put kind of like when a ignition coil goes out but not as bad. Has i give it more gas , just when the turbo starts to spool up, it stutters and puts pretty bad! I went to advance auto and they hooked it up to a vag-com that said their is a misfire in cylinder 2. They suggested replacing the sparkplugs. I just got done replacing them and took it for a drive and it seems worse then before. What else could be the problem?!

If your car is pre 2000 then its the Ignition Control Module

coil pack or fuel injector if it goes to lean itll miss fire also but i think you would of blown the engine if you went as lean as that with the turbo

yeah never seen an injector go bad.

i would swap a coil first. if the misfire doesnt move with the coil, put an ICM on it.

My car did the same thing. It was the coil pack. It was good as new once I replaced it.

Same thing happened to me. Replaced the coil with no luck; turned out it was the Ignition Control Module.

try gapping your plug down to .028 if you're chipped and .032 if you're stock

I forgot to gap mine once and my car misfired horribly when the turbo spooled up because the spark was being 'blown out'. Hopefully thats what it is for you it makes it a cheap and easy fix
