My 1 Year Anniversary Writeup:

Well, Its not my 1 year anniversary on AZ, I couldnt wait that long(Late August). Last year today I got my Audi, and I was so happy. Well, I wanted to make a writeup celebrating the anniversary and show everyone my progress so far, and what is coming. So here we go:

This is where I started-

Bone stock 2002 Audi A4 1.8T

I didn't start modding right away, but I knew generally what I wanted to do. I was always a fan of black on black, and so thats what I wanted. A month later, my 16th b-day rolled around and I got some cash in hand and I ordered some black ebay headlights, yes they have angel eyes, but I wasnt too into the AZ scene yet and didnt know I would be flamed. Well Some people still like them, but a majority dont. I think they're ok, nothing special though. Plus, I really only wanted them for the black housing.

August 25, 2007: I joined AZ

I started a job in November, and before that I didnt really have any money, but the first mod after I got my 1st paycheck was 20% tints. From there, I was hooked

Eventually I worked up to this, which is where I stand now:

I've come so far and i'm real happy with the progress of my car despite some unfortunate events on the way (got hood scratched with rocks by unknown idiots, and a fender bender).

In terms of Power, i'm not gonna upgrade the engine with anything major, I'm happy with the APR 1+, it has decent power, anything with too much power will only get me into trouble. I've been in some BT cars and i'd get literally sick driving mine from all that speed and acceleration

As far as the upcoming year goes - i'm trying to slow it down to give my wallet a break, but despite that I still have some new things coming:

1)Painted lowers
2)Door Dings(from when I bought the car) will be removed.
3)I'm gonna try to get some scratches touched up, but regardless, it'll never be perfect so I'm not gonna be anal about it.
4) I got a OEM sport suspension sitting in my house - that'll go on hopefully late summer/early fall.
5) I gave this a thought but i'm not sure if I wanna keep my wheels due to just getting bored of the look, and also the weight. I considered after the above things are done getting some 18" USPs and selling the ones I have now, but thats an easy 5 months ahead, but let me know your opinions. The USP's will be lighter, cleaner looking.
6) Boost guage, minor interior things.


And Along the way, I've met so many great people here on AZ and at shows who share a common love and share great knowledge and have been a really great help in plenty of situations, so I thank all of you! SEE YOU AT WATERFEST 14 !!

Nice you have come a long way since august. With the weels I agree USPs, or wat about some A8 turbines, also when you paint your lowers will you do USP fron or anything like that? anyways congrats look forward to seeing it develop as time goes...

USPs are not considered light. If you really want an affordable light wheel (enough to feel a difference) then look at something like Ultraleggeras. Otherwise, go forged.

Thanks guys, I live in Westchester, NY. And for the wheels, alot of my friends are gonna hate me cuz they love my rims now, lol Donz columbo 19x8.5 and 19x10 rears, but they are just weight hogs. I mean it wouldnt be that bad for someone with a BT i mean my car isnt "slow" with them I just want a cleaner look and lighter feel.

I dont think i'm gonna do a USP front, as much as I love them, it's gonna run me too much $$$. I mean, who knows, alot can happen in a year, maybe i'll come upon some cash I dont mind spending, but for now, by the end of summer i'll have the lowers painted with the OEM 02 sport suspension on, so that'll satisfy me for the time being.

CONGRATS BRO! wheels are similar to mine lol! keep modding! A8 turbines would be nice but weigh a ton! and those tail lights are fantastic!

Congrats on getting this far with your modding and its very dangerous it becomes a habit to get something every few months.lol

Put the sport suspension and painted lowers on top priority and you will be a happy kid!

Once you lower it those wheels will look alot better and u wont be sick of them.

Yesterday was my 1 year anniversary!

Thanks, I hate to think that my car is just another hooked up audi with the typical things, so at least I have 1 thing unique on it, that being the tinted tails. I have seen alot of other cars that have just red and white lights that did the same thing as me but I dont think I've seen another a4 with it. Even if there is maybe 1 audi its def. not common. It just works out good for my color setup.

Anyway, good luck with your car, I know how you feel. Once you get alot of the big basic things like rims, chip(or turbo upgrade if thats what ur doing) then you'll be able to take a breather. Well I guess it depends on how much you make too, but maybe not even that since the people who make more just get more expensive stuff(rims) and put more. Anyway, have fun with it and enjoy each mod. The thing you'll love is when you turn a minimum of 10 heads a day while your out driving lol. Its a great feeling.

Car looks good, keep up the good work. I still need to do my s4 bi-xenon set-up and lower it and my car will be the way I wanted it. However, it's killing me knowing that I'm spending ridiculous amounts of money replacing parts that are perfectly new. As a food for thought, since you're still young, save some more money and put it in the bank!
