HELP! Serious Turbo lag.

So as you guys can see from the thread name... i am haveing so serious issues with turbo lag. I just put my new k04-15 in my car i was so excited t finally feel the turbo again. My k03 was blown thats why i say that... but wehn i got it back it was making the wooosh from the diverter valve. But when i really hit it takes like a minute to get a response and even when it does respond its not that strong. When my friend whos a (girl) has a 04 jetta. Stock nothing done to it at all woops my ass when i race her with her stock k03 and that shit pulls. I am confused, baffled, pissed, and outraged that i spent money on my k04 and shes killin it wit her k03.

So can someone give me ideas help suggestions on what the hell i should so. Yes killing her is an option if that means anything to any of you. haha

first of all jettas are fwd. second do a boost leak test

what kind of tuning do you have for the k04?

Tru tru i forgot about that, ok how do you do a boost leak test, and i am not sure what you mean by tuning. If u mean ecu upgrade none but im getting that done at waterfest or i might do it before hand i have to see.

The K04 turbo functions just like the stock turbo unless you have the upgraded ECU programming to make use of it. You may need a few other little things depending on what ECU programming upgrade you use.

Yeah, if you're running stock programming your car will feel like stock even with a K04.

even with a k03 aftermarket chip the k04 doesnt really wake up until you have the right tuning. i ran my k04 on k03 giac chip, it felt okay, but then i got the pc16 chip + inj, etc.... and it is very very nice

oh btw i raced my friends gti 1.8t (when i was just a chipped k03) he had intake and test pipe and he would beat me all day

yea tru i just got it chipped on low boost giac. But im goin back in a week with injectors and 3 in maf hose to put the pc16 in. I feel like im am definantly going to have to do little maintence qrk on the engine so all the boosty dosent fuck it up. So does anyone no where i can get injectors fropm? Also 20vpower what injectors did you use on ur b5??
