Audi Club North America Chapter for AZ Meeting July 17th 6pm Audi N. Scottsdale

This seems to be an active forum for local Phoenix/AZ Audi owners so i wanted to post this up.

We are trying to get an Arizona chapter started for the Audi Club North America and will be having the first meeting on July 17th at 6pm at Audi North Scottsdale (where i work).

We will provide drinks and some food, but the meeting is to gather what interest there is to making the local Audi enthusiasts more unified in events and happenings and see where it goes from there.
I will need signatures to be able to send to the ACNA to request to start a chapter.

Please send me an email at [email protected] as i dont frequent this site too often and most of it is blocked by our firewall at work.

I need to know if you will be attending so i can get a head count. Please lets keep this to those that are interested in the club. This meeting won't be necessary to bring along family, kids, and pets Just you and your Audi.

The meeting will end around 8pm when the dealership closes.

So this is a historic Arizona Audi event?! There is no current/past Arizona chapter of Audi Club NA? I know the club gets you a few benefits...

yeah there has never been an Arizona chapter for the ACNA. there is a SoCal chapter and a Bay Area, but AZ and Nevada havent had them. I think Henderson and Desert Audi and Vegas are trying to put one together too.

maybe down the line we can have an AZ/NV Chapter coordinated event at a track or something, thats what i'm thinking

What??? That's what we need here in AZ a tuner where Audi is the main focus and not a side dish to the ocean of Subbies and Porsches...

Count me in, and by the way have your IT manager white list Audizine in your network. You guys are missing out on a lot of opportunities. I hooked my boss and a friend up with an S5 just by paying attention to what goes on here and one of them came from a Penske dealer. I think it was West Covina... They have to recognize that the Audi following goes well beyond blue haired ladies who buy 3.2 A6s...

If we sign up for ACNA online does that help you get better response from Audi NA in general to support this? I mean, I think it's like $40.00 per year and totally worth it if we can get access to events and other perks associated with this club...

Guys and Gals. I will also need you all to be thinking if you want to hold a position in the club. President, VP, and secretary will all be needed. How clubs work is people volunteer these positions, people that plan to be active in the long run.

I dont currently own an Audi but am acting as a "coil pack" for this to get it rolling. So please think about if you will want to hold a position to make this all legit.

I plan to have some packages of papers to hand out to everyone listing things in detail.

That's more like it. I will be a likely candidate for a B8 A4 Stasis Challenge Edition Avant with in a couple years.

Brian, I'm afraid my email domain may be blacklisted on your end because I've sent a couple emails to you about this based on the AZAudi thread you posted a while back. I even paid a 1-year ACNA membership recently to get another Arizona member on the list.

Thanks to everyone for showing up. I think i counted 29 people which is more than i expected. This is a good sign of things to come for sure.

For those that didn't get to attend i will be sending out emails with information on what is next.
I got the 14 signatures i needed for the petition to become a chapter but those that signed it need to become official ACNA members.

Howdy, I met all of you tonight for the first time. My name is Russ and I braught the Coupe GT. Mad props to Brian for setting this up for us. Seems like we have a great basis to start this club, lets keep the ball rolling!

We had a great time too. It was nice seeing everyone. Having the meet and future meets at the dealership was really convenient...everyone knows where it is, plenty of room, and we can all drool over the S5s and S6s.

I would really like to see us all show up at EvoMS on "First Thursday". It would be tight if all us Audi met at Tempe Marketplace first, and then all rolled together over to EvoMS...talk about a grand entrance! We really should make sure its at least 10 cars tho.

I'd also like to see an Audi BBQ at a local park...but not until it cools down a bit.

I'd love to do the Techfest event sometime in the near future!

And Brian, once again THANKS for getting this rolling.
