I realize I threadjacked this pic, but it was the only one I could find. Electrical connection in the center of the pic. Left side of engine bay between radiator and engine. I think the mechanics left it unplugged after my timing belt job....I really wanna know what it is.

    TIA for any help!

It looks like the outside temp sensor.

Thanks. Your knowledge is invaluable and you are truly an asset to the community. (I always see your posts usually answering the problem).

-well, I plugged it back in (after having to take off the air intake, loosen the bi-pipe and DV). Tight squeeze, hot engine...but some long sticks and luck worked it in. Needless to say, I won't be going back to that mechanic.

I wonder if my operating temps will go down now.

Either way, I was hoping that had something to do with my AC not working (it worked before the TB/alternator job). I was hoping for a mis-placed electrical connection. Oh well.

    Thanks Again!

I'm glad you got it back together properly! It would have been much easier to reach up from underneath the car though. For future reference, all you really need to remove is the belly pan and the sensor is right there.
