whats the best way to break in a clutch? I will be going on a road trip about 500 miles total. Would it be ok for the clutch?

Your not supposed to do all the miles on the highway , mix it up with half highway half city driving for proper clutch break in

What I was told the best way to do it is to do a lot of city driving and do as much unnecessary shifting as possible. It also depends on the type of clutch that you got too. If you have a Kevlar clutch those are much more delicate for the break-in process. You need like 500 miles at least of city shifting.

clutch master stage 3...would it be bad to drive it on a road trip? I mean I would probably get atleast 100+ miles on it before I left for it then about 250 there with lots of city driving while im there then 250 back

i did the same but didnt count my highway miles against my 500 mile break in. i only counted city miles. im sure some would say over kill but clutch feels great with no slippage.

I had 100 city miles on mine, then I took a road trip of about 650 miles and then did another 200-250 city miles. My clutch works great with no slippage or anything. I wouldn't stress on it to much. Just make sure you mix it up the best you can for a while.

Alias is correct, city miles are what successfully break in a clutch. If you're going to drive highway, do what this guy did and only count the city miles towards the clutch break-in.
