B6 sidemarkers

I just took my buddy to Audi in sac so he could join the family and finally get away from his "lambo" (Ford Focus). While I was there I noticed the B6 sidemarkers look 10x better than the opaque plastic ones on the side of our cars.

So I'm wondering, will those sidemarkers be a direct replacement for the ones on the B5?

NOT a direct fit, will require some cutting of the body to make it fit as the B6 side markers are slightly wider.

Thanks for the good knowledge, I don't really want to get into cutting the body at all.
