Would you guys replace these ko4 inlets? Pics inside.

So i picked up these ko4 inlets and they ended up and have 2 small dents/dings in them. There is no cracks in anything like that, only thing it would do is change the air flow slightly, if at all. Would you guys replace those 2? Only paid 365shipped, so not that upset. Sorry the pics aren't the best..camera phone FTL.

Yeah mine looked like that when i got mine off ebay also, I have a pipe expander that I put in the inlet and pushed it out, cause i am anal about that. I think any auto parts store has them for like 20 - 25 dollars if you really want to do it. But as JDM said you should be fine.

They will be fine. If anything, you'll need to bend them anyway to make them fit. Mine did, the 034 replicas.

You had to bend your 034 pipes to fit?

Not me personally, but the shop says additional fabricating was required. I'm going to ask them more about it today when I pick up the car. Make sense because I got a great deal on the pipes, and thats just my luck. I didn't end up getting such a great deal after all.

Ummm... you might want to test fith those pipes before you go removing those "dents". At least one of them is there for clearance, and comes that way from the factory. (If you remove the "dent" you might create an interference fit.)

Here's a photo of a new lower left with the identical dent:

I think the other pipe you pictured is the lower right?

So much for 034 RS4 replicas being "bolt-on"... Shoulda went with GenJDM's cheaper aluminum pipes...

This is the type of response i was looking for. Thanks Michael, i am not sure which pipes are what as i haven't pulled my engine yet and im not familliar with them. The other ding is really minor, not sure if its there for a reason or not, kinda doubtful though.
