USP to Abt AS4 aero conversion

Just a few pictures of recently completed B6 USP to Abt AS4 bodykit conversion. It took about 6 months to source, paint, and install the kit (I'm a perfectionist), but, the results were well worth the effort IMHO...

Most of the parts (wheels, front & rear spoilers, grill, mats, shift knob) were sourced w/ the help of Scott@Rival (AKA GermanDriver). The skirts were sourced from the UK (a real PITA) and the pedals from Cali.

As many AZer already know, Scott is a great resource on this board and I can't recommend his company enough...

ABT is awsome!!! BTW I was wondering about the fitment of the ABT Rear skirt.
Did you install the rear skirt onto your USP Bumper? I wanted to get the ABT rear skirt before, but I was told that it only first euro bumper and it REQUIRES me to get the ABT Muffler also. So eventually I went the S4 bumper way. I still have my A4 bumper sitting around though, so I mean i still have that option of going ABT rear if I want to, but I won't get it unless I am sure those two issues/questions can be solved.

i would guess that it fits the euro rebar in the rear which is the USP rear bumper or can be made from a standard rear bumper but re drilled.

Thanks for the compliments...yes, a BBK is in the works. I was waiting until the car needed new front brakes to "justify" the expense...

A2A2, the Abt rear requires a USP or Euro rear. Scott or Champion Motorsport can source one for you. The fitment is a PITA...took 4 hours of fitting, installing, uninstalling, adjusting, reinstalling, etc to get it wrap around to the fenders equally. I initially installed the Abt quad mufflers but decided to go w/ a custom Magnaflow instead. I'll be selling those off in the near future. Hit me up if you need more info...

Not a fan of the front, but i like the rear and the sideskirts. how are they held on did you have to use any glue?

Vdub, no glue, it's all completely plug and play w/ the stock pieces. Fortunately, the front spoiler looks much better in person (I also think it looks a bit angular in pictures)...it looks like a deeper, wider USP spoiler.

EXQUISITE! Like a couple others, I am not a huge fan of the front end, but I understand the look you shot for, and it takes NOTHING away from your hard work and awesome results. Very nice!

little opinion.. get these LED taillights, 200$ and they fit just like stock ones, but look a lot better :) let me know i might be able to get you a good deal, since i bought 3 items from the same seller and the guy seems to be very cooperative..!

I had a ABT full kit on order. After about 3 months I canceled it because I was tired of waiting. ABT just doesn't seem to care about US market. Props for sticking it out and to Scott for delivering on the parts.

Thanks for all the compliments. Like everyone else here on AZ, it's a labor of love and always a work in progress...

I've recieved many PM's about the factory USP pieces. I am holding onto them and they will be sold w/ the car someday down the line (it worked well w/ my last project). Regarding the Abt mufflers, I plan to put them up for sale shortly.

I'm going to try to hit Waterfest, depending on family obligations. If not, definitely H20 International at the end of the summer.

Regarding Abt, there is presently no importer of the pieces anymore... they lost interest last summer (due to the crappy exchange rate) and shipped everything back to Germany. There is one guy in Miami who imports in pieces on a per item basis, but, be prepared to spend some serious cash. Again, Scott@Rival is an excellent resource for finding parts.

I think the LEDS look best on white, without question. You should look into that. I love the ABT kit, I think a blackout grille would give you an awesoem contrast. Well done , dude!
