The 4.2 liter V8s are far more different than the OP says, btw. The only real thing the S4, S5, RS4, and other model engines have in common are their displacement.
For example, the S4 is non-FSI, the S5 is FSI, but NOT high rev. The RS4 is high rev. High revving makes the engine built completely different with stronger and lighter parts.

MTM superchargers continue to go up in price because of the dollar strength going down. in euros the price is consstant. Also, it covers some weird Euro insurance type thing that USA has no benefit of but has to pay for anyway.

I would spend 9K for the upgrade, its not far off from what one would pay for an APR BT kit for a 2.0T or a stage 3 for a 1.8T

For realz. Even with the charger, I would still be around 30K total investment for my car, which is still half of what a used RS4 would be.

So yes maybe another 60-70 WHP...NOT 110 WHP. Big difference.

I'm interested to see what Autospeed will do in comparison. Of course these numbers are just guesses at this point. We should know more in the next 3 months.

I actually saw/read about this kit in the latest eurotuner magazine. They just mention how VF and whoever else will be at Waterfest with their latest SC kit for the V8 S4. I guess we will know in a few weeks if this is true or not.

By your Correction factor, my car which puts down 294whp would be more than 382 at the crank. And all I have is a K&N, Cat back and some 19" wheels, and BBK. I think that number is way too big.
