    FS: 1.8L partial-longblock (AMB) out of a B6 A4

    Selling my AMB motor.....

    Specs:
    1.8L (81mm bore, 86.4mm stroke)
    AMB engine code
    came out of a 2002 A4 Avant
    125,000 miles
block & head with internals (original internals)
    AMU valve cover included
valve cover gasket has ~5,000miles on it

    Items missing:
    OEM cams (intake & exhaust)
OEM cam variable valve tensioner (VVT)
    AMB oil pan
    AMB oil pump pick-up
all the externals including the oil filter flange
Why are they removed? I removed these items to install in my new engine.

Prior to disassembly compression tests were good. Leak-down tests were questionable.
    Compression:
    1 - 187psi
    2 - 184psi
    3 - 183psi
    4 - 195psi

and then I did it again:
    1 - 191psi
    2 - 184psi
    3 - 185psi
    4 - 198psi

    leakage test #1
cyl1 (fwd next to radiator) - >20% leakage past the rings
cyl2 - 25% leakage through both the rings and valves
    cyl3 - <5% leakage
    cyl4 (next to firewall) - <5% leakage

leakage test #2 (from a second, independent shop):
cyl1 (fwd next to radiator) - Leakage through the rings but most of the leakage is through the valves. Too high to get an accurate percentage.
    cyl2 - 25% leakage through the rings
    cyl3 - 3% leakage through the rings
cyl4 (next to firewall) - 5% leakage through the rings

As you can tell, the leak-down test results are questionable. Either way, a good head and block for a build...

Would prefer a local buyer so I don't have to crate this thing up and ship it. My asking price is $600. I also have a ton of other misc parts (accessories, oil filter housing, etc..) off an AMU block that might fit.
