Well i decided to do a little work to the interior for a change. I know its not going to be for everyone but I think it turned out pretty good for a first time attempt, and I'm happy with it. Let me know what you think.

do you have a bit of a write up on how you went about overlaying the fabric? im not a huge fan of your choice of colors...but i like the premise.

Re: A little project i worked on over the weekend

I followed the DIY on audiworld for making the trim pieces brushed aluminum as far as getting them off. Then I cleaned the trim pieces with some wax and grease remover. Cut the fabric to fit the piece, and then spray the trim piece on both sides and the fabric on the one side with headliner spray adhesive. Then just lay it on and fold it over the edges. Realy wasnt that hard, longest part was getting the dash pieces out.

I like the premise as well, and i was actually going to suggest more of a plaid-style fabric as in this pic.

I like it in a queer, unique, sort of way - good job!

I think it looks pretty good, Personally I would have had the plaid at more of an angle. But very nice job.

Re: A little project i worked on over the weekend

Thanks for all the comments guys. These are just some crappy cell phone pics i snapped quick. I think if you saw the whole car you might like the fabric choice a little more, I know its probably kind of hard to get a overall feel for it. The cars cactus green and it has accents of red from the tailights, brake calipers, europlate, as well as the red interior lights and the red audi emblem on the steering wheel.

Wow, that is little over kill. Now that you can see the color of thecar it kind of matches it nicely, but that would make me sick while I was driving, it looks like it would be very distracting. I f I where to do this I would use a solid color and not cover everything, that is way too much coloring going on in their. Nice work though.

Re: A little project i worked on over the weekend

Thanks for the compliments. Its not realy that distracting while driving, it did take a little to get used to though. I think im pretty much done with it now becuase i dont want to go to overboard. The only thing that might get done yet is the armrest but im going to hold off on that for now.
