friend of a friends audi got wrecked! (pics)

I Just stumbled across these pics again from last winter of my friends buddies audi and thought I would share









apparently a gas line broke due to cold weather and then the wind blew the gas fumes and ignited them on the hot engine or something along those lines

BTW no one was in the car and no one got hurt

yeah looks like an a6 (c5) 2.8 to me, but ouch

it was in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and i believe it was just under -15 degrees celsius (5 degrees fahrenheit)

i think you guys are right about it being an a6 not an a4... i guess i wasnt really focused on the car model but more the damages when my buddy sent me the pic

looks kinda like what happened to my GS-T... cept the front end of hte car is just burned and not 2 feet shorter from impact. glad nobody was hurt though, that's a hell of a thing to walk away from.

one of the fire fighters that came to the wreck with my eclipse said he'd seen about 40 cars catch fire after an accident (or as the cause) and that i was only the 4th guy to NOT leave the scene in a bag...

1 of 10 is a grim statistic.
