I beat an 07 tsx from a dead stop and on a roll ...

he had 3 in his car (full size dudes) i had my sis and my parents (they're probably lighter than them 3.

From a stop ... he gained 1/2 a car length and i was in tip and i pulled on him once i hit 2nd ... from a roll he got ... rolled

then we did it from a roll and we came to a bend (on a 5 lane rolle but he was pinned to the outter most lane) and he really got stomped that time

I figure i got lucky since those things are 50 lbs lighter and have 30 more hp?

I will repeat the comments above regarding sister and parents. If those were my parents, 15 years ago, when I was 20, I would have gotten my ass beat. When my 5 Year old son is 20 and I'm in his car with his sister, I will beat his ass for racing. WTF? Leave this type of crap in the track where it belongs. There are other drivers on the road. We share it with you all the time. Kill yourself, I have no problems. Endanger others, now we have issues!

It's not really the speed that bothers me, it is racing in an uncontrolled environment, with passengers in the car, especially a 13 year-old and his parents. That's just dumb.

Don't get me wrong, there is a time and place for racing, on the public streets, this may not be the best time. Your parents are in the car with your little sister is definitely NOT the best time. Even if you beat the TSX, guess who still looks like a chump, racing with moms in the load? LOL, how cool did you really look? Kind of like when my ignorant friends would try to race a minivan and some soccer mom beats them off the line!

A TSX has ~200hp/166tq at the crank. All that power is mainly once vtec kicks in. Sounds like you had him beat on weight too, so its no suprise a 1+ B6 won. More power, more torque, better powerband.

my dad freaks if i go 36 in a 35mph zone haha! but if it was a stock newest model TSX u probably could've ate him up they have 3 hp more for the newer models but weigh a lot more! and if ur CVT u have the best 1/4 mile time so it's plausible!

This is the kind of attitude that would bite you in the ass later. It is like not wearing your seatbelt, because you are only going down the street less than 3 miles. Life comes at you fast and comes at you hard. When you least expect it. That 1am run, anything could have happened, yes, it was probably not very probable. My Infinity M35 was parked in front of my house, properly. I didn't know that at 6am some drunk was going to take his truck and T-bone it, totalling it, neither. To answer your topic, yes, you are lucky that you and your family and the drivers in the TSX was ok and lived to tell about your adventure.

Don't get me wrong, bro, I was there 15 years ago, I know...but you will one day know what we are talking about. There's a reason why they have racetracks and allow the public to run on them. If you really like to run, join SCCA.

Racing on the public street is CRAZY and yes dangerous. Take it from me I see shiot all the time being in the job I am, but I even press the gas sometimes but know when to slow down and not bob and weave through traffic. You can't help it..the car is fun to drive.
