Moved your directional tires to the other side of the car (removing them from the rim and remounting them)?

Wow thats like the ultimate rotation. I've never done that. That would probably ensure more even wear and ultimately extend the life of the tires.

A bit costly to do (as it also requires re-balancing), but good to do if you have a lowered car with out-of-spec camber (and no camber adjustment).

Yes, in the frt. due to camber issues. But can do it myself. Its not fun on a 225/40/19.

Well my tires are cupped and since there is negative camber I figured rotating them this way would buy me some more mileage and also reduce the noise that is driving me crazy.

Absolutely, but only on every other rotation, so about every 10K miles. I haven't done it yet on the Audi, but I have on 2 previous vehicles. One had directional tires, and the other had directional, staggered fitment tires.
