    A/C Touble please help

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
refilled A/C with freon, but the compressor would not work

so i checked wires with the test light, the GREEN/YELLOW i believe is A/C
related. by the fusebox the test light works, but at the connection engine bay
    no dice.
when i bypassed wire with the 12v straight A/C activates, gold air blows
but after about 2 minuted car shuts down, and blows engine timing fuse

i am not sure which relay related to A/C perhaps some other wires i should look into

    thanks in advance,

    Yev

    Re: A/C Touble please help

I would not dump DC into that green wire again.

There is a clutch relay on this car. Activated or bad LP and HP switches/wiring will lock out the clutch relay.

The LP switch should have 12V on it with ignition on. < jumper switch into harness connector.
The HP switch should read less than 30 ohms across the connectors. < ignition off

You can use the AC Control head to troubleshoot. Procedure is here. You can read climate control codes too.
