Is it possible to dye Alcantara?

I searched alot on Google and couldn't find anything, so I decided to ask here. Does anyone know if it's possible to dye Alcantara? I really love the totally blacked out interior, and I'm looking for an S4 with the white Alcantara so I can change it to black (maybe carbon fiber or piano black dash trim, too). Possible? Or should I just look into getting the seats reupholstered with black Alcantara, which sounds like a much more expensive option.

I would look into non OEM seats. Thatd be comparably as expensive, and provide better support.

That makes sense. I've seen some really nice looking Recaros with black Alcantara, but I really do like the look of the OEMs. Also, I would have to worry about the back seats, too. What do people recommend for aftermarket seats?

I had the Alcantara inserts in my B5 RS4 seats replaced with black Alcantara for abou $700. The rears were about $300 additional. I would assume that doing the same work on standard B5 S4 seats would have a similar cost. I don't imagine that a proper dye process would be less expensive, and miggt be more so.

    The result is beautiful.

    Good luck!

That's exactly what I wanted to hear! You wouldn't happen to have any pics of your interior, would you?

I don't have any on hand, and the car is perpetually apart. If I have an opportunity to swing over and grab some photos, I'll do that.
