I dont think you've ever driven one to its full potential, and I would bet that you've never driven one at all..because I've you had you would see how awesome they are.

Maybe in terms of torque, but nothing else.

Well, not really. The RS4 will be faster to maybe 70-80 mph given equal drivers, but then the M3 should pull away. AWD chews up power as speeds rise and traction is not an issue.

In the hands of a few elite drivers, on a dry track, the M3 can turn faster lap times, but for 99.9% of people, especially on the street and in varied weather, the RS4 will give far greater confidence, control and safety when driven hard.

driven one, nope, ridden on one driven to 9/10's, yes, not impressed, money factor being the biggest reason.

the car is quick, but not quick enough to justify the price. the 335 with programming, exhaust and coilovers will run circles around the "new" m. one of those i have driven and was impressed. impressed enough to get rid of my s4, nope..........................................

but i suppose you have driven the new m to its full potential, please point out its strengths and its weaknesses.

    Re: RS4 vs E92 M3

I use to be a huge BMW enthusiast (hell, I still own one, X5 4.8is), but all of their new stuff is just rubbish. I think audi is where it's at nowadays. I drove the new m3 and hated it. I prefer my "simple" RS4, I don't want to sit in a parking lot for half an hour and set the diff, power, ride, etc. I want to get in and drive the car the way the manufacturer made it to. I think the new M's aren't true M's. BMW is wasting wayy too much time trying to beat their competitors, rather than making true M cars..... but this is all imo!!

    Right on
IMO all manufacturers are getting too carried away with "driving aids" in their cars and it's diluting the pure driving experience. Audi isn't as bad as BMW in this regard but still... BMW xdrive is just junk but 99.9% of drivers never push it hard enough to experience the advantage quattro provides.
