Questions about the silver trim around the side windows

That silver trim, around the side windows, how is it removed? Will it come off clean or will it be mangled? Where can I get a new set & for how much? I want to paint it black instead of the silver..

I wanetd to do the same, was advosed againts it, once rmeoved it'd look bad. No shop would touch it, trhere is an OEM euro trim in black that I would suggest buying...
There is a thread on AZ for OEM Euro parts... check out the GB forum maybe

Bump. Anyone have any pricing info on the trim? Also, anyone know if you can get it in the dark silver like the B5 S4? that would be ideal... I never heard back from oempl.us but am emailing them again now..

You ain't kiddin.... $1350 for some trim is insane... Gona swing by my body shop & see how hard it would be to paint it still on the car. I anticipate if I tried to remove it for painting it would likely get mangled...
