The coolant hoses have c-clips that snap into the coolant hose's lip to keep it locked onto the radiator's inlet/outlet.
You have to use a small flat-blade screwdriver to lift the clip out of the recess that it sits in and then pull it all the way out of the hose's lip.
Once it's off, you can start wiggling the hose free.
BTW, have you drained any coolant yet? You can drain the cooling system by unscrewing a hex head bolt located in an oval shaped recess right near the seam where the engine and the tranny meet. The oval shaped recess is a bit more towards the driver's side of the motor's bottom surface. You'll need a long reach 6mm hex key to get into the recess to remove the bolt. Once you do, it will rain coolant from that 8mm hole. Have the pan ready.
