Hello Audizine, Now onboard!

I have been waiting to post this for about 7 years...

I have had my eye on a B5 Nogaro since i was in highschool (now 25 and established haha and felt i could afford it) and i finally pulled the trigger on a B6 04 Nogaro with all black interiors. I cant tell you how insane im happy i am, huge smile here. I have been a big time euromodder on with various cars MK3 Jetta, MKV jetta, BMW 330xi, and now the S4 so i have been moving from forum to forum but i am hear for a long time now.

Dream car 1 down on the list, you guys will be seeing alot of me, here is a crappy iPhone pic of the car this am when the sun came up (i picked it up late last night)...

I'll post a ton more once i do a formal photoshoot with my camera gear.

here she is completely stock (which is good for a second hand car), planned mods are minimal: cut shifter down and throw on a momo gotham, .75" drop, some good mats in the trunk and cabin and some tint...I dont think this car needs much it is good as is (almost)

I feel like the sound is good out of the stock and it is $$$ for new, thoughts?

Oh yeah. I would say 75% of people here upgrade the exhaust. The stock b7 exhaust sounds better than the stock b6 and aftermarket? Forget about it. You will fall in love with your car all over. Go to youtube and search for b6 or b7 s4 exhaust and there will be lots of videos with all the different brands. I have the B7 AWE exhaust and LOVE it. The car sounds perfect now.

god damnit another spot to spend modding. I said to all my friends with blown out a4's in a dumb sounding voice ' trust me man it's done i dont ned anything' as a seasoned modder i should have known...

hahah, that is the way it goes with these cars, i know that...

Exhaust, springs/shocks or coilovers, call it a day. Maybe wheels and some minor cosmetics, sways if you want even better handling. Then you'll be done. Chipping is still up for debate. You won't get much HP gains but supposedly, you'll have a better throttle response and maybe slightly better mpg.

springs are the #1 upgrade right now i ran KW 1 coil overs on my bmw but i dont see a need for the coils, good shocks and springs do the same thing IMO i dont track my cars.

It is so refreshing to buy a car that is basically 'done' that doesnt need 5k worth of mods to make it worthy you know? This is my first venture into real cars and i am psyched...

next car on the list down the road is a gallardo

now if my boss could work on that promotion haha...

it's funny all my audi buds were hassling me saying you couldnt get away from vw, and it's true there is something about the company bmw was a little to executive for me, i like the feeling of the audi/vw productsß

Might I suggest that you go directly to a Short Shift Kit in lieu of the DIY cutdown.
The SSK is definitely a huge bang for the buck and maybe a nice set of RS4 pedals w/the Dead Pedal. That too is a great mod to really set off yer intereior.
Well, let me tell ya, there are really some sweet mods out there that you'll basically never stop.

Welcome to AZ, Bill! Congrats on your acquisition. I've had my B6 S4 for about a month and it rocks! I have an RS4 rear sway bar on the way, but other than that I'm with you - no major mods planned right away. I'm just excited as hell to drive it the way it is now!

My big $$$$ expense coming up is an extended service plan (EasyCare from the Audi dealer) since the factory warranty expires in a few months. This is my first Audi, but based on all the dealer visits I had with my GTI VR6 a few years ago after the warranty ran out I won't drive the S4 a mile without having my A$$ covered with some kind of warranty.

I figure that maybe a year or so down the road if I'm getting bored with it then I'll get an exhaust and maybe supercharger if they have a reliable kit available for a reasonable price.

But for now . . . ENJOY! ! !

yep my car is a bit higher milage so it was just beyond the ability to get the factory warranty, i did get a premium third party warranty for 3 years unlimited milage so i should be covered.

Agreed that these cars are not those that you dont want a warranty on, it is a great piece of mind

Wow what a shame, nothing worse than having your dream turn into a nightmare. One question, how did you figure out the car had no compression? Did something suddenly happen, or did you pick up the car that way? If you picked the car up that way how did you think to check the compression? Just wondering.

flashing engine light, had it flat bedded to the dealer...

I get a call from the guy at the dealer saying 'where did you get this car at', they found the compression was the issue, he gave me the psi reading on each cylinder sucks.

welp boys, looks like I am back with a new nogaro 2004 all black interior with the same list of mods coming think i am going to throw some rs4 reps on there, i know they are overdone but i love them...

after the nightmare that was this thread i am taking delivery on my vehicle next sat or sunday...let's hope this one turns out better! I am buying it from a audi enthusiast that knows his stuff, defiantly more confidence inspiring than the last venture.

welcome back again, and hope all works out with the upcoming delivery...i agree with the previous posts: exhaust, springs, possibly wheels and a few other mods is all you really need to do to transform your B6...i just got my S4 in Sept, laying low for winter, but planning the majority of the above mods come summer, can't wait! :)
