    Millteck Muffler Q?

I am installing VAST's ceramic clutch in a few days so i decided to put the car up and look at a few things in order to mentally prepare myself for the process. Out of curiosity I decided to get a head start and pull off the entire tru-duel Milltek 2.25" catback just leaving the DP's. It was fun for a few days, but it was simply too loud.

So i put just one (of two) mufflers back on and now its quieter then ever just a tad deeper than the full system at idle. Which leads me to believe that there is a resonator in the muffler at the tips?

I want the car to be louder than the stock Milltek, so the question is, if i had some custom pipes made to delete the first muffler would the car still sound good and be louder or would it sound the same as it does now with just the first muffler on?

Also if you think a DIY writeup of the clutch install would be usefull let me know. I'll be using the Bentley manual, but i'm sure there will be some things in it easier said than done

    Cheers!

Without the muffler in the center, the exhaust will be loud inside the cabin of the car.

Thats good to hear...So it does get louder, but does it still sound refined? What system were you running when you did this?

I build exhaust systems for my customers, I own a shop. Most the VW/Audis I have done, need that middle resonator or cat in there, or they are a little loud inside.
