Just bought a S4, list of codes lol

So i bought myself a S4 to replace the A4 and just got it last night. my VAG is broken so i borrowed my buddies ebay one. it came up with these codes. Nice laundry list, sounds like it shorted out at one point, unless it can really have all these issues. lol

Umm yeah... looks like you you either need to register that copy or get a different one, becuase that doesn't help much. lol

But looks like you need to try a throttle adaptation and that might help with the angle sensor problem. I got a code like that when the wire harness on my throttle body wiggled loose while I was driving.

Oh and you didn't scan for codes before you bought it??!! Man you are ballsy! I hope that doesn't come back to bite you, but judging by that nice long list you got there it doesn't look good. I just hope they are all just old codes that are still stored and need to be cleared. Good luck.

Well I bought the car from another state and he's a pretty cool guy. I was just s little surprised by the list. My giac ecu is going in so ill see what codes pop up after

Looks like an EGT sensor is in your near future and the ECU has been unplugged recently. Also may want to try throttle adaptation. The last code, check your MAP sensor on top of the TBB, see if it's plugged in tight.

Those have to be old codes stored on the ECU, I don't know how else to explain all that! That ECU was put in the car just a couple of weeks ago to replace an APR-chipped ECU that I sold. I have no history of the car it came out of, but if it was a salvage car that would explain everything.

delete all those codes , drive the car for a week or so see if they come back. thats what i would do.

Yea, codes havent come back since i put the GIACXR ecu in. once i drive it daily ill have a better gauge on things, sofar so good though.
