What is making this noise when I brake?

When I hit the brakes (not hard, put just for an average stop) the front brakes make this (errrrrrrrrrrerrrrrrrrrrerrrr) and a slight, really faint, vibration comes with it. My brake pads look new, and the brake sensor hasn't come on yet... Any ideas?

ABS Sensor? ...... My old G20 did that and it was a ABS sensor gone...
Check them anyways

Potentially a bad tone ring. I had this happen and my abs would chatter from 10mph-5mph when i was stopping on dry pavement.

What is a tone ring and were does it install? On the caliper? I think I need to check that too.

So I drove it today again around for a bit (had to run errands).. Last night I had it in sport and when I pulled to the top of my drive way I hit the brakes a bit hard just to see if I could get this annoying thing to go away. (when I say I hit them hard, I didn't make them scretch or turn the ABS on.) When I pulled it out today driving down the drive way it was making SO MUCH NOISE, and when I hit the brakes I could feel the front just not gripping really well, and the noise got worse. Then I let off and I get some of that noise as I drive. I wonder if its the brake pad rubbing against the rotor, and the noise I hear while driving slowly (10-15mph) is the ridgy rotor hitting the pad here and there.

Take a water hose with a adjustable nozzle on it and set it to jet or stream, whichever gives you the strongest spray and give the a good rinsing from the inside and out.
If you look at the rotor it resembles a record and the brake pads have a small amount of metal in them. As the pad wears the metal comes off, it will sometimes hang on the pad and run in those grooves causing noise. You could also have the rotors machined and bevel the pad edges slightly with a file before reinstalling them.

See I was thinking of doing that.. and seeing with grinded rotors that would fix the issue.. I just didn't want to be down $100+ bucks and that not be the issue...

Does the noise come up whenever your almost at a full stop? Is the sound louder when it's cold out?

Before I started hearing it just while driving, I would only hear it the moment I touched the brake pedal even slightly, and then as I came to a stop it would make the noise louder and you would feel it a bit in the cabin. Its not coming from the back thats for sure. its the front.!.
